I tended to download content illegally back then when it was not forced to preserve the copyright of creatives. On the other hand, nowadays in Korea, you can get fined if you do not conform to downloading the contents in a legally permitted method. Additionally, Koreans are willing to pay for the content made by the artists culturally.
