What is the political climate like for LGBTQ celebrities in Korea? Is it safe to come out? Are there many people out? Why or why not?
My Answer
Korea is not safe for LGBTQ to come out. Even though the perception about them has been rising, I don't feel like people internalize them into our society yet. I can tell it when I talk about LGBTQ with the people around me. They don't assume that someone related to LGBTQ would be nearby and dare to describe their traits to make a joke. The majority of people shouldn't be rude for the minority if they like to live together.

Paraphrase
Korea is still not a safe place for LGBTQ people to come out. Even though the positive perception about them has been rising/increasing, I don’t feel like people accept them into our society yet. I notice this when I talk about LGBTQ issues with the people around me. They don’t assume that an LGBTQ person could be nearby and stereotype or caricature the traits of “gay” people to make a joke. The majority of people shouldn’t be rude towards a minority if they would like to live together.
